Aprés avoir fait des études à Peningen et à la prestigieuse Rode Island School of Design, Providence-USA (Rode Island School of Design), Jean-Baptiste BLOM a commencé une parcours de graphiste en associant étroitement trois pratiques artistiques : le dessin, la peinture, la photo. Il se veut d'abord électron libre, période au cours de laquelle il réalise les travaux de commande novateurs (à titre d'exemple, il est associé à la nouvelle direction artistique du Nouvel Observateur et crée plusieurs couvertures marquantes pour l'hebdomadaire. Décidé à donner un cadre plus large et pérenne à son travail, il fonde avec Juliette Weisbuch le studio POLYMAGO.

Depuis quelques années, Jean-Baptiste est revenu à une pratique de créateur indépendant pour concilier d'un côté, un travail de commandes pour des entreprises, fondations et institutions culturelles de l'autre, un travail artistique autour du "photographisme". "Il définit le photographisme comme un dispositif plastique associant la photographie et le dessin, aboutissant à la capture d'installations éphémères" ... Having been educated in the Paris Peningen school of design and at the prestigious Rode Island school of Design, Providence-USA (Rode Island School of Design), Jean-Baptiste BLOM began a carrier of graphic designer closely combining three artistic disciplines: drawing, painting, photography. Initially he started as a "free electron", during which he directed creative projets (for example, he was associated with the new artistic direction of the Nouvel Observateur and created several significant covers for the weekly. Commited to create a broader and lasting scope for his work, he founded with Juliette Weisbuch the POLYMAGO studio.

In recent years, Jean-Baptiste returned to a practice of independent creator to reconcile on the one hand, assignments on behalf of corporations, foundations and cultural institutions on the other hand, an artistic work around the "photographism". He defines the photographism, as an "artistic model combining photography and drawing, leading to the capture of ephemeral installations" ...
